This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the One-One-One Journal app (“the App”) and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

The App is a daily reflection journal developed by Ribblesoft. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • App refers to the One-One-One Journal mobile application.
  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to RibbleSoft, based in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, United Kingdom.
  • Device means any device that can access the App such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the App.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the App, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the App, as applicable.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App is designed to operate entirely offline on your device.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally using on-device storage (SQLite):

  • Journal entries — Your daily win, tension, and gratitude reflections
  • Draft entries — Incomplete entries saved automatically
  • App settings — Your notification preferences, theme choice, and onboarding status
  • Prompt history — Which reflection prompts you have seen recently

All of this data remains on your device and is never transmitted to Ribblesoft or any third party.

Usage Data

The App does not collect any usage data automatically. No tracking technologies or cookies are used.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company does not use Personal Data for any purposes as no data is collected from users.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. There are no analytics, tracking, or advertising services integrated into the App.

Data Export

The App provides a data export feature that allows you to export your journal entries in JSON or CSV format. When you use this feature, the exported data is shared through your device’s native share sheet. Ribblesoft does not receive a copy of the exported data.

Notifications

The App uses local push notifications to send you daily reminders at your chosen time. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers.

Retention of Your Personal Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you control the retention of your data. The Company does not retain any of your personal data.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App. Individual entries can also be edited or overwritten within the App.

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of your data is maintained through local storage on your device. Since no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no risk of data interception during transmission.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services that collect data, including but not limited to:

  • No analytics or crash reporting services
  • No advertising networks
  • No cloud storage or synchronisation services
  • No social media integrations

Your Rights Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR

Since we do not collect any Personal Data, the GDPR rights do not apply to use of the App. However, you maintain full control over your locally stored data and can export or delete it at any time.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no data is collected from any user, the App is compliant with applicable children’s privacy regulations.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
